The 2007 OYFETA program was another great year!

For the first time we offered a 36-hour Volunteer Firefighter Certification course and had 17 young men and women participate.  The course was a challenge given that all 36-hours were taught in five days.  By all accounts this class was an excellent succes and all involved really enjoyed it.

We were also pleased to host the Ohio State Fire Marshal, Michael Bell, at OYFETA 2007.  Marshal Bell took two days out of his busy schedule to come and speak directly with the participants and also gave a gracious speech at the graduation ceremony. 

We are looking forward to the 2008 OYFETA program and invite all interested participants, staff and instructors to sign up early!
